KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City Health Department is working to improve accessibility for residents.
The Kansas City Health Department announced in a press releaseit will temporarily close the main entrance, beginning on April 10, due to construction on the inner loop of the parking lot and the sidewalk. All visitors to the Health Department are asked to use the entrance on the northeast corner of the building, which is closest to the corner of 24th Street and Troost Avenue.
This construction project is part of the city’s ongoing work to assure that public buildings are accessible to all guests. This construction project will improve access for those who have difficulty walking or who use a wheelchair, cane, crutches or other assistance. The construction project is expected to take about two weeks to complete. During construction, other portions of the Health Department’s off-street public parking will remain open.
