City dignitaries officially broke ground today on the Chouteau Greenway Project. The project is designed to improve Chouteau Trafficway between Missouri 210 and I-35 by increasing traffic capacity and creating a more beautiful greenway along the Chouteau corridor, much like Ward parkway or Paseo Boulevard.
Beginning in late May, construction will completely close the Chouteau Trafficway and Parvin Road intersection. That closure will allow contractors to upgrade sewer and drainage pipes in the area in accordance with the project. Tentatively, the road will re-open in mid to late August, just in time for the start of school.
Detour signs have already been erected in the area to prepare motorists for the upcoming closure. We’ll have complete updates on the closure on our Facebook and web page as more information becomes available.
