KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Independence Avenue Community Improvement District will be hosting a community conversation at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the North-East Library, 6000 Wilson Road.

John Pager from KCBIZ will be on hand from the city to discuss the permitting and legality of temporary businesses such as tents along the Independence Avenue corridor. Megan Painter from InSite Planning LLC. will be on hand to discuss the zoning overlay district and urban design and development services.
