Bill Heriford

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Bill Heriford, 92, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away on Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015 at his home.

Mr. Heriford was born in Mill Grove, Mo. He and his wife were owners of Heriford Grill on Independence Avenue for over 50 years. He also owned and operated several other restaurants and bars in the area.

He enjoyed his horses and cattle along with traveling with his wife Lois who passed away in 2002. He is survived by his daughter Pam Lynch of Lititz, Pa., son Richard Heriford of Saugatuck, Mi., daughter Judy Heriford of Overland Park, Kan.; and grandchildren Shannon Thomas, Lara Gresham, Andrew Phejley, Jerome Griffith, Russell Griffith, Tony Griffith, Rhonda Gear, Tonia Sayer and Julie Snidow; and several great-grandchildren; sisters Ethlyn McCleauc and Imogene Montgomery, both of Kansas City.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at Grace Baptist Church, 3101 Vivion Road.
