Eudora M. (Slayton) Chisam

KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Eudora M. (Slayton) Chisam, 82, of Kansas City, Mo., passed June 15, 2015.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Mt. Washington Cemetery, 614 S. Brookside Ave. Independence, with visitation beginning at noon at the cemetery mausoleum chapel. Memorials are suggested to Three Rivers Hospice.

Eudora was born on April 7, 1933, in Cameron, Mo., to William and Edna Slayton. She retired from Stuppy’s Wholesale Florist and after retirement worked at St. Stephen’s Academy, where her grandson attended school.

Eudora was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene B. Chisam; an infant daughter, Lois; three sisters, and six brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Loos of Kansas City, Mo.; grandson, Aaron Matthew Loos and his wife, Mia of Indianapolis; great grandchildren, Elliott Eugene and Isaac Matthew; and one sister, Helen S. Hook of Overland Park, Kan.
