Clyde Finley

Clyde Finley, 54, of Northeast Kansas City passed away Jan. 4, 2014.

Clyde was a lifelong Northeast resident. He attended Northeast High School and was a Union pipefitter for Local 533 for approximately 10 years.

He is proceeded in death by his father, George Finley. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Janet Finley; and Zabrina Reek (Vince), Jennifer Floyd (Stephanie), Trey Floyd (Amy) and David Finley.

Per his wishes, Clyde was cremated. Arrangements are by Park Lawn Funeral Home.

Thomas P. Moody

Thomas P. Moody, 82, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Manor Care Center. Visitation was held Jan. 9 and a funeral service was held Jan. 10 at the McGilley and Sheil Chapel, Kansas City, Mo. Burial followed in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Higginsville, Mo. Arrangements are by McGilley and Sheil Chapel.

Thomas was born on Oct. 30, 1931, in St. Louis, Mo., to Edgar A. and Cleo M. (Dunnagan) Moody. He was an Army engineer veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Korean War Auxiliary #2. He was a truck driver for 25 years for National Steel Delivery and then at Galvmet Steel Delivery for another 5+ years before he retired. He was an avid bowler and coached his kids to be bowlers; he was a Chiefs fan; he supported his grandkids and great-grandkids at all sporting and special events. He loved to sit on his front porch and sing and loved to tinker around his shed and house. He was baptized a Catholic and attended Catholic schools as a child.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Cecelia; parents, Edgar and Cleo; brother, Donald G. Moody; son, Thomas P. Moody, Jr. and grandson, Christopher M. Chrisman.

Survivors include his daughter, Paula Chrisman (Michael); three sons, Randall Moody (Jackie), Russell Moody and Craig Moody (Jeanna); grandchildren, Brandi Moody, Scott Chrisman (Haleigh), Brett Moody, Emily Moody and Dylan Moody; great-grandchildren, Alexander Moody, Shayden Moody, Cierra Masters, Gauge Chrisman and Lydia Edwards; two brothers, Robert Moody and Michael Moody (Linda) and sister Nancy Kimble.
