Jack Lloyd Ratliff

Jack Lloyd Ratliff, 62, Kansas City, Mo., passed away Dec. 26, 2013, and was laid to rest in Mount Washington Cemetery on Dec. 31, 2013.

He was born in Brookfield, Mo., on May 21, 1951, and lived in Historic Northeast Kansas City. Jack graduated from Northeast High School in 1969 and attended several local colleges. He was employed at Shor-Line Manufacturing as a project designer. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.

Jack was preceded in death by his father Jewelle (Jack) Ratliff and survived by his mother Florence Jane (Kemp) Ratliff, his wife, Jane Ann (Peterie) Ratliff, his sister Norma Jane (Ratliff) Hermocillo and her husband Gregory Cogliantry, his brother Jeffry Keith Ratliff and his wife Kelly (Kuhn) Ratliff and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Clarence L. Morgan

Clarence L. Morgan, 79, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away peacefully on Dec. 30, 2013, at home with his girls by his side. Cremation with graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 8, 2014, at Mt. Washington Cemetery. Arrangements are by McGilley & Sheil Chapel, Kansas City, Mo.

Clarence was born April 14, 1934, in Marion, Kan., to Cyrus and Orpha (Kinsey) Morgan. He married the love of his life, Jerri, in September of 1957, who preceded him in death. Clarence was a Korean War Veteran. He was known as “The Fence Man” as he built many fences throughout Missouri and Kansas.

Clarence is survived by his daughters, Joyce Jones (Terry), Betty Carpenter (Keith) and Susan Kohl (Peter); 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
