“Home Fire follows the story of a British Muslim family within a modern take of the ancient Greek play Antigone,” Annie said. “Themes include tackling Islamophobia, national borders and grappling with the concepts of family, love and truth. The writing is lyrical, present and suspenseful. I chose this book for the exploration theme because it keeps you guessing until the end.”
