Essig and Associates owns and operates nineteen McDonald’s restaurant in Northwest Missouri and the donation to the children of their crew members and families in the surrounding community mean that their kids go back to school a little better prepared.

Employees with area McDonald’s Restaurants owned by Essig Management scored some free school supplies and a usable backpack to carry them in this morning at the McDonald’s Restaurant at 5347 Independence Avenue.

“We have backpacks that we’re giving away for parents and families to make it easier for the kids and they don’t have to stress out over money and things of that nature,” said Timothy Powells, an Area Supervisor for Essig. “Our team members do a great job and our company does a real good job taking care of and this is just one way they help out.”
The backpacks include pencils, markers, glue sticks, crayons, headphones, scissors, notebooks, index cards, dry erase markers, a ruler, an art box and a Kleenex box.
“This is something the employees really enjoy,” Powells said. “They really enjoy it.”


Essig will be donating over 200 backpacks and all crew and staff are eligible to receive the free back to school supplies.
