Hard Hat Tour
Take a hard hat tour of Corinthian Hall, the more than 100-year-old home of lumber baron Robert A. Long and his family. Visitors will see Corinthian Hall in mid-renovation, the bare interior of the building exposed for the first time in decades. Visitors will examine 100-year-old craftsmanship, see the ornate salon and library and view the exquisite stained glass windows. Tours are free and will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Kansas City Museum, 3218 Gladstone Blvd., Kansas City, Mo.
Story-Time and Craft
Join North-East Public Library for its weekly story time and craft at 10:30 a.m. This story time group promotes literacy in children with the participation of caring family members.
Ataxia Support Group
The Ataxia support group is for those diagnosed with Ataxia. New members are always welcome. The Kansas City Ataxia Support Group is affiliated with the National Ataxia Foundation. The support group will be held at 2 p.m. at the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd.
Knights of Columbus Monthly Breakfast
Check out the Knights of Columbus Monthly Breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon at St. Anthony Church – St. Joseph Hall, 3208 Lexington, Kansas City, Mo. Menu includes biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, potato casserole, pancakes, sausage patties, chorizo con huevos, tortillas, juice and coffee. Cost is $5 for adults. Children 8-12 are $3.

VFW Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner
The VFW Aux. 9997 will serve a corned beef and cabbage dinner on Saturday, March 17, from noon until the food runs out. Cost is $6 for the dinner and $3 for a reuben sandwich. The event will be held at the VFW, 6801 Wilson Rd., Kansas City, Mo.
St. Joseph Table
Holy Rosary Church will host its St. Joseph’s Table on March 18 and 19. The charity fundraiser will be held at the church’s Scalabrini Hall, 910 Pacific Avenue, Kansas City, Mo. March 18 will include a blessing of the table after the 11 a.m. mass and a viewing of the table until 6 p.m. March 19, there will be a special mass at 10 a.m. and a Pasta Milanese dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Free donations will be accepted. Carry-out is $5. Delicious, homemade cookies and pastries will also be available for purchase.

MAP Workshops for Parents
Kansas City Public Schools will host a series of Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) test workshops to help parents prepare their children for the MAP tests. Workshops will explain the importance of MAP testing and the meaning of Adequate Yearly Progress and Annual Performance Reports. The first workshop will be held Monday, March 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Manual Career Tech Center, 1215 E. Truman Road, Kansas City, Mo. Dinner and child care will be provided.
KIPP Endeavor Academy Open House
The Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) Endeavor Academy will host an open house Saturday, March 24, from 10 a.m. to noon at 2700 E. 18th St., Kansas City, Mo. KIPP is now enrolling fifth through sixth grades for the 2012-2013 school year. KIPP boasts a track record of success with 85 percent of KIPP alumni going on to college.
