Pan American Association of Kansas City’s Student Art Competition
From now until March 26, the Kansas City Museum presents “Pan American Association of Kansas City’s Student Art Competition.” The Kansas City Museum is proud to be the venue for an exhibition of artwork by the winning high school students who participated in the Pan American Association of Kansas City’s Grand Boulevard of the Americas Student Art Competition. Winning artwork will be printed on vinyl banners and installed on Grand Boulevard in spring 2016 as part of the Grand Boulevard of the Americas project.

At 3 p.m., head over to the North-East Library for a Chronic Disease Management Workshop. Open to all adults and free of charge. This workshop would benefit you if you have been diagnosed with a chronic disease, are living with someone with a chronic disease, or taking care of someone with a chronic disease.

Join North-East Public Library at 9:30 a.m. for physical fitness. No matter what your limitations, maybe you can still reap the physical, mental and emotional benefits of exercise. This class is designed to give you a total body workout. Cardio, strength and flexibility exercises are all performed from a seated position.
Knights of Columbus Lenten dinner
Join the Knights of Columbus Cardinal Glennon and council #4613 for weekly Lenten fish fry dinner. Menu includes beer battered codfish, fries and coleslaw. Dinners then Bingo from 5 – 7:30 p.m. at the St. Joseph’s Hall at St. Anthony’s Church, 3208 Lexington Ave., every Friday night through Lent.

Exhibition Opening at the Kansas City Museum
Join the Kansas City Museum for the opening of their latest exhibit, Pueblo to Pueblo: The Legacy of Southwest Indian Pottery and Now & Then. The opening runs from 5 – 7 p.m. in Corinthian Hall and is free to attend. Community Garden Kick Off
Join the Pendleton Heights Neighborhood Association at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 19, to help prep the garden for spring planting. Meet some neighbors, get fresh air and give back to your neighborhood. The PH Garden is located at Minnie & Brooklyn.

Indian Mound Neighborhood Association meeting
Join the Indian Mound Neighborhood Association for its monthly meeting at Gladstone Elementary, 335 N Elmwood, from 6 -8 p.m. Officer Smith will speak about the police standoff that occurred at 416 N. Elmwood to start things off followed by a forum for the write-in school board candidates. Guests will have an opportunity to meet KCPS School Board candidates and ask them questions. Spanish translation will be provided.

Fourth annual Easter egg hunt
All residents of the Historic Northeast are invited bring their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews for this annual event. In addition to thousands of eggs to hunt, there are bounce houses, games and prizes and the Easter bunny. The hunt takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday, March 26.
NEHS Class of 1946 reunion
Join your classmates from Northeast High School’s Class of 1946 for the 70th reunion. The event will take place this June. More details will be provided soon.
