Kansas City Libraries
All Kansas City library locations will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 31, and remain closed on Thursday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year holiday.
Kansas City Museum
The Kansas City Museum will be closed to the public until Sunday, March 4, 2015. Private and group tours of the Museum will be available upon request. Contact Anna Marie Tutera at 816-513-7568 or anna.tutera@kcmo.org to schedule a tour.

Happy New Year
The Jackson County offices will closed Thursday, Jan. 1. Kansas City, city offices and 311 will be closed. Residents who usually have Thursday trash collection will receive this service Friday, Jan. 2. Residents who usually have Friday trash collection will receive this service Saturday, Jan. 3. Trash service returns to the regular schedule on Monday, Jan. 5. Post Offices will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1, and will be open and regular mail delivery will resume on Friday, Jan. 2.

Learn about navigating your computer in this class, which offers insight into hardware and software components. Class begins at 10:30 a.m. at the North-East Public Library.

Northeast Book Club
Join the North-East Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd., for its monthly Northeast Book Club at 2 p.m. Share your passion for books and join in on riveting book discussions.

Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association
The Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association will hold its annual election for 11 board positions at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at the Kansas City Museum. This is also the neighborhood association’s next regularly scheduled meeting. You are eligible to vote if your 2014 dues were paid by Dec 5, 2014. You will be able to pay your 2015 dues that night. Dues are $10 per person and $30 per business for residents, property owners and businesses within the SRNA boundaries.
