Northeast Arts KC will host its second concert in this year’s in the Pink of the Evening Concert Series Saturday, Aug. 20.

Music from Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys will fill the air from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Colonnade located at Benton Boulevard and St. John Avenue.

Rex Hobart and the Misery Boys formed in 1997 in Kansas City and has produced several country albums including “Your Favorite Fool,” “Forever Always Ends” and “Empty House.”

The band’s lyricist, Hobart, was once the frontman for Kansas City’s well-known rock band “Giant’s Chair.”

All are invited to attend the free concert and are encouraged to bring their own refreshments and seating.
