Andi Enns, a Park University senior, has joined the Northeast News team as our summer intern.
Enns is double majoring in public relations and multimedia journalism and currently serves as the editor of The Stylus, Park University’s award-winning student newspaper. She’s also a member of two academic honor societies, Alpha Chi and Sigma Alpha Pi National Society of Leadership and Success.
Asked why she became interested in journalism, Enns said, “I have always loved stories and especially true ones. I decided to study journalism so I could be the storyteller! My dream is to be a traveling correspondent, writing features about ordinary people all over the world.”
Enns said she wanted to join Northeast News this summer because it’s a media outlet she respects.
“So, when I heard they had an internship position this summer, I applied immediately!” she said.
During her internship, Enns hopes to learn about using community journalism to create community pride.
“I believe journalism is meant to protect the community, and I believe Northeast News does that. I hope to learn more about how they do it!”
