To the Editor:

In a day and time when true ‘journalism’ is nothing but a shadow of its former self, I want to commend The Northeast News and their staff for raising the bar and setting the standard for excellence in ‘community journalism.’ Every week, I marvel at the depth of reporting, the variety of stories and the excellence in editorial content provided by my paper, especially considering the size of The Northeast News staff. Other publications, large and small,throughout the Kansas City area should take notice. My hat’s off to Michael Bushnell, Christine Adams, Leslie Collins and the entire Northeast News family- at a time when many throughout the city question the relevance of Kansas City’s Historic Northeast, you embrace it and bring it to the forefront every week!
