Kansas City, Mo– KCPD responded to sounds of gunfire around 3 a.m. Oct. 21 at Roberts Street and Bales Avenue.

Upon arrival, they located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Aid was given to the victim at the scene, and transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

While KCPD was at the scene, an additional adult male victim showed up at a local hospital by private vehicle. That victim was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The decedent was identified as Harold Brown; He was 43 years old.

The death is being investigated as a homicide. KCPD’s Preliminary investigation revealed there was an interaction between several individuals outside of a vehicle that led to shots being fired.
