A fire destroyed a house earlier this morning in the 900 block of Newton, leaving behind a pile of rubble.

The house burned to the ground shortly after 4 a.m., but no injuries were reported.

Cause of the fire is undetermined and damages are estimated at $20,000 for the structure and $15,000 for the contents inside the house.
