Thursday, May 16- Perler Bead Craft at 6 pm, North-East Branch Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. Come create your own fun design with Perler beads. For ages 5 to 12. Free

Thursday, May 16– Scarritt Renaissance Neighborhood Association May Social, 5 to 7 pm. Come meet your neighbors and enjoy a treat at Elixir, the Kansas City Musuem’s soda fountain eatery.  A wide selection of drinks and snacks will be available for purpose from Elixir’s menu. Thursday, May 16 & Saturday, May 18– St. John Traffic Calming Public Engagement Sessions at Healing House, 4505 St. John Avenue. The Indian Mound Neighborhood and Kansas City Public Works will host two sessions to collect input for proposed traffic calming measures on St. John Avenue on Thursday from 5:30 to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.

 Saturday, May 18- Slime Time at 1 pm, North-East Branch Library, 6000 Wilson Rd. Come and create your own custom slime. For ages 5 to 12. Free.

Saturday, May 18- Instant Gardens! 10 am to 2 pm at the Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Ave. Make a native plant seed ball to start your own pollinator garden at home. All ages. Free.

Saturday, May 18- Call For Mural Artists, from 1 to 3 pm at the Independence Avenue “Truck-Eating” Bridge. (roughly 5900 Independence Avenue) Come view this year’s mural location and pick up an application.
