Friday, September 15– Summer Dusk Concert featuring The Distant Now. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, the music begins at 7 pm at 2251 Lexington Avenue  at the community stage. Free.

Saturday, September 16 – Ground Cherry, Garlic & Good Times Festival, Hosted by the Agape Grow Education Center at 8319 Independence Ave. (Beaumont Baptist Church). Stop by and visit the farmer’s market, sample recipes using ground cherries. Saturday September 23 – Kawsmouth River Carnival. 3pm to 6pm on the Missouri River between Kaw Point and Riverfront park. Calling all river rats, wingnuts, adventurers, makers, paddlers, and pirates. The River Carnival is an absurdly fun and playful mardi-gras style Art boat parade on the Missouri River! Come join the fun!
