Wednesday, September 6 – Join Kansas City Public schools for a Community Listening Session to gain insight into the tax levy 5:30 – 7 p.m. You’ll explore three informative stations and share your feedback. Your perspectives are essential to guiding the future of our schools and community. Presentation topics: Hancock Amendment, tax levy, deferred maintenance. Board of Education 2901 Troost. Friday, September 8 – International Taste and Tour Part II! Join us 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for a fun-filled afternoon with delicious tidbits from five international restaurants & 2 coffee shops. More info at nekcchamber.com/international-taste-and-tour/.

Friday, September 8 – Kansas City Museum invites you to the last Summer Concert on the Lawn with Quinteto Cucharada celebrating Tango Music from 7-9 p.m. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. $5 in advance, $10 at the door. No cash, please. FREE for children 12 y/o and under (must have an adult present). Picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs are welcome.

Saturday, September 9 – Independence Plaza Neighborhood Council Block Party at Independence Plaza Park from 3 to 7 p.m. Food, games, and more. Come meet your neighbors and learn more about your neighborhood.

Wednesday, September 13 – Town Hall Meeting with Police Chief Stacey Graves at Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center, 825 Euclid, in the Wayne Miner Community Room from 1-2 p.m. Refreshments provided. Limited Seating Available. Contact Rory Kirk at (816) 196-8084 for details.
