On Friday, May 20, the Mattie Rhodes Center hosted its 10th annual Brightening Lives, Building Futures luncheon, honoring those in the Westside and Historic Northeast communities that consistently have a positive impact with their volunteer hours and financial support.
The 2022 MRC Service Award was awarded to Marion Broderick and Robert Barrientos for their selfless work with the Mattie Rhodes Center by volunteering over 700 hours to provide emergency assistance to people living in Clay and Jackson Counties.
Mattie Rhodes Center enriches the lives of individuals, families and communities in a respectful, multicultural environment. The nonprofit envisions a vibrant community where individuals and families are healthy, safe and have the resources to thrive.
