A man and woman were found dead near Second and Lydia just after 9 a.m. Friday.

Just before 9 a.m., officers were called to the area in regard to a dead body. Upon arrival, officers located two victims, a male and a female, in a wooded area suffering from apparent trauma.  EMS responded to the scene and declared both victims deceased.

Detectives and Crime Scene personnel have responded to the scene.  They will be processing the scene for evidence and canvassing for potential witnesses.

There is no public access to the scene.  The scene is off of railroad property and for safety reasons media cannot respond there.
