For the third time in less than two months, the apartment building next to 7-Eleven, in the 3200 block of Independence Avenue caught fire at roughly 2:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Fire crews were on the scene again around 6:30 putting out hot spots.

According to fire department sources at the scene, crews immediately went into a defensive posture due to the aggressiveness of the flames.

There were no injuries reported and the building looks to be, at least after this fire, a total loss.
