July 8: Culture, Coffee and Conversation at the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Join us at Yasmeen Café, 1447 Independence Ave., for chai and other tastes from Northeast’s own International Marketplace.

July 9: Don Bosco Senior Center at 580 Campbell St. is hosting its monthly Mobile Food Distribution with Harvesters from 1:30 to 4 p.m. They are seeking volunteers to help distribute food to the community.

July 13, 15: Pop In at the Park with the Kansas City Public Library will be every Tuesday at Concourse Park and every Thursday at Budd Park from 10 a.m. – noon. On July 23, librarians will be at Lykins Park. Pop In at the Park offers no-contact assistance to sign children and families up for the Summer Reading Program, log any books read throughout the summer, and redeem prizes. Children and teens can also collect a Take-and-Make kit with supplies for the Summer Reading Program’s virtual activities.

July 19: District 4 Community Meeting – Join Councilwoman Katheryn Shields and Councilman Eric Bunch for a community meeting about all things 4th District from 6 to 7 p.m. at Westport Roanoke Community Center.

July 24: Northeast Swap-And-Shop from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Independence Boulevard Christian Church parking lot, 606 Gladstone Boulevard.
