Two Kansas City Missouri Police Department members, one patrol officer and a civilian employee, tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, March 31.
KCPD spokesperson says the department has enacted procedures, including quarantining 16 of those who had direct contact with the members, taking precautions with other members, and investigating if anyone was exposed to the members that tested positive.
“We are all aware that the key to reducing the spread of the virus is to limit further exposure. The members are at home and we look forward to their return to work once the virus runs its course,” said the spokesperson.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
