Early Sunday morning, four people were taken to the hospital after an incident near Independence Avenue and Van Brunt.

Officers were on patrol in the area of Baccala, a night club located on Independence Avenue between Lawn and Van Brunt, when multiple shots were fired in front of the club around 2:40 a.m.

Officers moved quickly to the area and pursued individuals with armed rifles. One victim was located in front of the club and three others were taken to nearby hospitals.

According to police reports, multiple suspects and firearms were recovered.

All victims are currently listed in stable condition.
