One KC Voice, a nonpartisan, nonprofit civic engagement group, has developed a project in collaboration with several local organizations that challenges people across the region to talk about racial, social and economic equity.

Plans for the project, which is called Social and Economic Equity in Greater Kansas City, or SEE KC, include regional summits, local public conversations, youth roundtables and dialogue opportunities such as book clubs and youth-led social media marketing.

Project coordinators include the U.S. Department of Justice Community Relations Service, Harmony, Kansas City Public Television and the Resource Development Institute. The planning team is currently pursuing funding from several sources.
