KANSAS CITY, Missouri — Felony charges have been filed in connection with a home invasion and robbery from June 2014.
In a press release, Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker, said Marqueze D. Brown, 22, has been charge with first-degree robbery, a class A felony, and armed criminal action, a felony.
According to court records, Kansas City Police Department officers were called to the scene of a residential robbery along the 1700 block of Woodland Avenue. Upon arrival, the victim of the home invasion told police a man later identified as Brown and a second man robbed her at gunpoint, taking a cell phone and other items from a safe. The victim later identified Brown as one of the men who pointed a gun at her during the robbery.
On Feb. 24, 2015, Brown was found and taken to Police Headquarters for questioning in regard to this investigation. Prosecutors have requested a bond of $150,000.
