Garad Hussein of East High School has been accepted into the Cerner Scholar Program, which offers opportunities to students interested in technology, healthcare or business careers.
Cerner Scholars are assigned a variety of tasks and projects in a business of Cerner Corporation, closing a gap between traditional, classroom-based education and the real world.
Cerner Scholars demonstrate an ability to learn independently, possess effective communication skills and are able to adapt in problem-solving and decision-making situations.
They also take accountability for their actions and demonstrate leadership, including professionalism in the workplace.
