“Our services are as diverse as Northeast is,” Funeral Director Gary Bertoncin said about the individuality of Passantino Bros. Funeral Home.
The atmosphere of the funeral home, along with the story of the Passantino family, was like the design of the funeral home – elegance and ease.
After 83 years as a family-owned business, it’s obvious the original Passantino brothers did something right. Brothers Charles, George and Rosario Passantino opened Passantino Bros. Funeral Home in January of 1930. Charles Passantino worked in a funeral home previously and wanted to branch out on his own, Bertoncin said.
“It’s a funeral home different from many because few family operations are still around. It’s a family business working with families. Eighty-three years says a lot,” Bertoncin said.
Passantino Bros. Funeral Home’s commitment to the community and its needs stands strong. Currently, Charlie Passantino, representing the third generation of the family, is owner and president of the funeral home.
“You’d be hard pressed to find a funeral director with more passion and commitment to the families he serves than Charlie,” Bertoncin said.
The funeral home offers a wide range of burial and cremation services tailored to fit the needs of each family, from the very simple to the most elaborate.
Asked how Passantino Bros. Funeral Home tailors its services to fit the needs of individual families, Bertoncin said, “We have years of experience serving a wide variety of cultural, religious and social backgrounds. What’s interesting is no matter our differences or backgrounds, we all mourn and celebrate life the same.”
Bertoncin added, “The saying goes – May all who enter as guests, leave as friends. I like that. I think it speaks to what the funeral home is about.”
