Jolly Good Ride. Twas a grand ride, indeed, all in tweed as this year’s ride drew people from all over the metro to Historic Northeast to ride in the 4th Annual Tweed Ride along the Cliff Drive Scenic ByWay. Pictured from left to right, Brian Werner, Lindsay Hoyt, Dagney Velasquez, Aliyah Pullin and Ruben Noguera all share a toast and an old fashioned picnic lunch in the park after this year’s ride. Near perfect weather and a record turnout made this year’s Tweed Ride one for the record books. Michael Bushnell

Jolly Good Ride. Vintage clothing and uber-cool old bicycles were the rule of the day at this year’s Tweed Ride held Oct. 5 in Kessler Park. The ride meandered lazily along the Cliff Drive Scenic Byway, finishing with a picnic lunch on the terrace west of the Kansas City Museum. This year’s grand marshall was Jeff Arnold of Overland Park, Kan. Jeff, his wife, Joie, and their daughter Magnolia (isn’t that a cool name?) have ridden on all four of the annual Tweed rides. Top, Participants gathered on the steps of the museum for a group shot. Then the group sauntered over to the terrace for some nifty picnic lunches, below, all served in, you guessed it: Vintage picnic baskets.
