Those who normally vote at the Kansas City Museum will now have a new polling place.
The Kansas City Board of Election Commissioners recently mailed notices to registered voters notifying them of the change.
Due to renovations at the Kansas City Museum, that polling place has been temporarily moved to the St. Anthony Catholic Church Fellowship Hall, 3208 Lexington Ave.
“While we would rather be consistent and not resort to moving blocks of voters, the necessity arises where we have to do just that,” said Edward Growney, Kansas City’s polling place coordinator.”Our ultimate goal is to satisfy and keep the voters of Kansas City at stable voting locations.
“It is our hope that, with the exception of instances that are unavoidable, we will continue to do so.”
