The DAC Parent Advocacy Task Force will host its final town hall meeting tonight from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Manual Career Tech, 1215 E. Truman Rd.
The purpose of the town hall meeting is to garner community input on what the governance structure of the Kansas City Public Schools should look like. DAC representatives will also explain current options for running the school district, outlining both the pros and cons of each.
Attendees will also be asked to answer, “What do children in our schools need?” and “What can I do to help?”
Feedback gathered from the four town hall meetings will be sent to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Kansas City Mayor Sly James, school district officials, the Kansas City Public Schools Board of Education, among other stakeholders.
