Holy Cross Catholic School's first graders show off their Christmas cookie recipe books, which are shaped like gingerbread men. All recipes are original. Leslie Collins

When Amy Lamparelli tasked her first graders with creating their own Christmas cookie recipe, they didn’t hesitate. Each Holy Cross first grader decorated his or her own recipe book with detailed instructions. Read below for their one-of-a-kind concoctions. We’re sure some of the recipes will become award winning.

Abuk Mayar:

1.) Gather all the ingredients you will need for the Christmas cookies: 2 eggs, flour, frosting, ice cream and decorations; 2.) Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl. Then, put it in the oven; 3.) Let the cookies cool down for one hour; 4.) When it’s cool, you take the cookies out of the oven; 5.) You eat them.

Favorite cookie: Oreos

Veronica Valderrama:

1.) Gather all the ingredients you will need: 2 cups of candy, 2 cups of sugar; 2.) Then, mix it up. Bake the cookies in the oven for 5 minutes. Enjoy.

Favorite cookie: All cookies

Vincent Tran:

1.) Gather all the ingredients. You will need: 2 cups of flour, 3 eggs, 3 cups of sugar 1 1/2 cups of olive oil and 2 cups of milk; 2.) You mix it in a bowl; 3.) You have to set it in the oven. Put it in for 8 minutes; 4.) You put frosting on them; 5.) You eat them.

Favorite cookie: Frosting cookies

Ethan Nguyen:

1.) Gather all the ingredients you will need: eggs, sugar, flour, chocolate, honey; 2.) You mix it and you put it in the oven for 30 minutes; 3.) Then, you decorate it; 4.) Then, you eat it.

Favorite cookie: Gingerbread men

Rebecca Negus:

1.) Gather all the ingredients. You need: 3 cups of eggs, 2 cups of flour, 4 cups of sugar, 1 cup of milk, 5 cups of chocolate; 2.) Put it in a bowl and stir it; 3.) Put it in the oven for 50 minutes at 40 degrees; 5.) Eat it up.

Favorite cookie: Gingerbread cookies

Tony Phan:

1.) Gather all the recipe. You will need chocolate, sugar and flour; 2.) Mix all the ingredients; 3.) Put it in the oven for 60 minutes at 2,500 degrees; 4.) Eat them.

Favorite cookie: Gingerbread men

Mila Andrade:

1.) You gather all the ingredients you will need: 2 cups of eggs, 2 cups of sugar, 4 cups of love; 2.) After you gather all the ingredients, you put the ingredients in a bowl and you mix it up with a spoon; 3.) Then, you cut the cookies and put them in the frigerator for five hours; 4.) Then, bake it for two minutes at 50 degrees; 5.) Put it on the table and let it cool off. Then, I usually eat one.

Favorite cookie: I like chocolate cookies and cookies and cream and my grandma bakes vanilla cookies.

Joseph Truong:

1.) You need to gather the ingredients. You will need: 1 apple, 1 cup of candy, 6 oranges; 2.) Put it in the oven for 5 days at 800 degrees; 3.) Eat it.

Favorite cookie: Circle cookies

Patrick Wagner:

Gather all the ingredients. You will need: 1 cup of milk, 2 cups of flour, 3 cups of happiness, 4 cups of sugar, 5 cups of joy. Mix it up. Roll, cut. Put it in the oven for 2 minutes at 1 degree. Let it cool. Take it out and eat it!

Michelle Puga:

First, gather all the ingredients you will need: 10 shoefulls of flour, some stars, add eggs. Then, put it in the oven for 10 minutes at 30 degrees. And you eat it.

Xiomara De la Cruz:

1.) Gather all the ingredients. You will need: 1 cup of flour, 2 eggs and 2 cups of sugar; 2.) Put the ingredients in bowl and mix it up; 3.) Put it in the oven for 10 minutes at 50 degrees; 4.) Take it out of the oven;5.) Eat them.

Favorite cookie: Animal crackers with sugar on it

A.J. Hancock:

First, put the ingredients together: 3 eggs, 3 cups of sugar, 10 cups of flour. You mix it in a bowl, then put it in the oven for 70 degrees for 2 hours, then you take it out and put some frosting on it, then you eat it.

Favorite cookie: Gingerbread or Santa or cars

Toni Jo Negus

1.) Gather all the ingredients you will need: 1 cup of sugar, 2 eggs, 3 cups of flour, heart sprinkles; 2.) Put it in a bowl and mix it; 3.) Bake it at 500 degrees for 50 minutes; 4.) Take it out of the oven; 5.) Put it on a plate and eat it.

Favorite cookie: Gingerbread men, snowmen, stars and hearts.

Sofia Ruiz:

Put flour in a bowl, put chocolate in a bowl, 2 eggs and sugar, six cups of salt and strawberries. Mix it up and put it in the oven at 40 degrees for 4 minutes. Eat it with sprinkles and 5 cups of love.

Favorite cookie: Chocolate cookies

Juliana Camarena:

1.) Gather all the ingredients you will need: 3 cups of flour, 3 eggs, 5 cups of sugar, 11 cups of candy; 2.) Clap your hands and you will have cookies; 3.) Bake them for 10 minutes at a really hot temperature; 4.) Decorate the cookies; 5.) All ready. Start eating!

Favorite cookie: Strawberry cookies

Emmanuel Nak:

1.) You need to gather the ingredients. You need 5 cups of flour, 2 eggs, 2 cups of sugar and 3 sprinkles; 2.) Mix it all together 5 times in a bowl; 3.) Put it in the oven for 10 minutes. The temperature is 5 degrees; 4.) Put a little bit of sugar stuffing on the cookies. 5.) Take it out of the oven and cut it in circles and eat it with your family and send it to Santa and Jesus.

Eben Gomar:

1.) Gather all the ingredients you will need: Flour, chocolate, sparkles, sugar, crust, strawberries and 3 eggs; 2.) Bake. The temperature is 80 degrees for 50 minutes. We need mint candy for the eyes, and I will put frosting on the face. Then, eat it up.

First, gather all the ingredients: Flour – put in the bowl, pour chocolate in the bowl, put sugar in the bowl. Then, put it in the oven for 250 degrees for 1 minute. Put sprinkles in the cookies and eat them.
