James McLaughlin of Shawnee, Kan., aims for the pin during the 24th Annual Disc Golf Ice Bowl held at Rosedale Park, Kansas City, Kan. More than 300 people attended the two-day event Jan. 29 and 30 sponsored by the Kansas City Flying Disc Club (KCFDC). Each year, Ice Bowls around the country are held to raise awareness and funds for the nation’s hungry. KCFDC’s Ice Bowl raised approximately $5,000 to support the Bishop Sullivan Center food pantry.
