Kendric D. Anderson of Kansas City might have a jealous streak.

Anderson, 21, allegedly shot and killed a 19-year-old man who talked to his girlfriend outside of Xpressions night club, 220 Admiral.

Anderson has been charged with second degree murder, armed criminal action and discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

According to court documents, Anderson’s girlfriend and her friend began talking to two men parked in a Camaro outside of Xpressions on March 20. As the four talked, a black four-wheel drive vehicle driven by Anderson pulled up to the scene.

As Anderson exited the vehicle, he yelled at his girlfriend to go home, calling her a derogatory name. When his girlfriend refused, he yanked her into the driver’s seat of her Ford Taurus.

At that point, 19-year-old Steven Jackson and his friend drove off in Jackson’s Camaro.

Anderson followed the Camaro in his vehicle down several streets. When he reached the corner of 8th and Charlotte, he passed the Camaro and multiple gun shots were fired from the front passenger side of his vehicle.

Jackson was fatally wounded and his friend was injured.

Anderson is scheduled to appear in court May 2.
