KANSAS CITY, Missouri — The Kansas City Police Department Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help in a death investigation.

According to a press release from Sgt. Kari Thompson, around 9:45 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 21, officers were dispatched to the area of 24th Street and Monroe Avenue for a dead body. The officers later determined the female was the victim of a homicide.

The victim is a black female, medium complexion, approximately 5 feet 1 inch tall, believed to be between the ages of 18-30 years old and weighed around 200 pounds. The victim has a tattoo on her lower back which reads “Anthony”, stud lip ring in her lower lip, and stud earrings in her ears. The victim has long black and blonde hair extensions, with dyed red cornrows underneath the hair extensions.
