Kansas City Public Schools Board of Education President Airick West and Kansas City Mayor Sly James hosted a press conference Dec. 5 to discuss future plans for the school district, which will lose its accreditation Jan. 1. Both West and James said they are committed to working together and with the community to find a solution to improve student academic achievement.
