The Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is inviting the public for a juried selection of at least three lead artists to complete a mural depicting “Independence Avenue Past, Present and Future.” The mural proposals will be on display at various scheduled locations throughout the community, and can be voted on.
Locations for Viewing:
June 9th – 14th, 17th – 21st
Northeast Branch Public Library, 6000 Wilson Rd (during normal library hours)
June 15th
Art INN the Garden 425 Gladstone Blvd. 10 am to 4 pm.
*In the event of rain, the even will be move to: William Chick Community Room, NEKC Chamber 2657 Independence Avenue, KCMO 64124.
June 17th
Artists will meet to determine the team and the final art project
2657 Independence Avenue, KCMO 64124. Open to the public from 10 am – 7 pm.
June 22nd
World Refugee Day Event, KC University Ricci Auditorium. 11 am to 2 pm.

On June 25th, a reveal of the chosen artists will take place during the regular Chamber Luncheon located at 2657 Independence Ave.
The luncheon will be sponsored by the Northeast News. All artists are encouraged to attend and be a part of the Reveal 11:45- 1:00 pm.
