The 2023 International Taste and Tour on Independence Avenue is quickly approaching on June 2.

The tour, hosted by the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, will visit seven restaurants with a variety of cultural foods and drinks. Visitors will have an opportunity to explore a Somali mall and Hispanic markets, among other local favorites.

Visitors can purchase tickets prior to the event for $25 at eventbrite.com/e/june-2-international-taste-tour-event-2023-tickets-615186698977, and at the door for $30. The June 2 tour runs from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., beginning at the American Sons of Columbus, 2415 Independence Ave., where guests will park and board a trolley for the journey through five continents – all without leaving the neighborhood – along Independence Avenue.

The first stop will be the locally owned Core Coffee & Eatery in Pendleton Heights, followed by El Paso del Norte, Frutopia, Charritos Taqueria, Taqueria Mexico #2, Carniceria El Torito III and Pho Bowl.

The Chamber is excited to show off its International Marketplace’s tasty restaurants and coffee shops. The trolley will make multiple stops from which visitors can walk to a variety of restaurants.

This year, the Chamber is dividing the ever-growing multicultural tour into two dates, the second being September 8. Visit nekcchamber.com for all the details.

All of the restaurants included on this tour are members of the Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. Thank you for your continued support.
