KANSAS CITY, Missouri — A man’s death outside the Century Towers Apartments is being investigated by the Kansas City, Mo., Police Department as a suspicious death.

Captain Tye Grant of the KCPD Media Unit said the victim, a male in his early 40s, was an employee of Century Tower, 612 Garfield Ave.,  and was working in the loading dock area Friday evening. Witnesses who had just spoken with him found him minutes later on the floor just inside the dock with a serious injury to his head.

The victim was transported to Truman Medical Center at around 7:30 p.m. He died at the hospital shortly after arriving. More information will be provided as it becomes available. 

“At this time no foul play is suspected,” Grant said.
