Police were called this about 5:45 this morning after a man who had his wallet stolen, chased the robbers and ended up with an empty wallet and no car.
Police say a 23 year old man working on his car in the 5900 block of St. John was approached by three armed men and one woman. The group accosted the man, stole his wallet and fled the scene. Undaunted, the man jumped in his car and chased the criminals to an area near Gladstone Blvd. and Sunrise Drive where the man rear ended the robber’s vehicle.
The robbers jumped out of their car and the victim fought the three men and retrieved his stolen wallet. At the same time, the female jumped in the victim’s car and fled the area. The three male attackers jumped back in their vehicle and fled. The victim reported that roughly $170 was in the wallet at the time of the theft.
