KANSAS CITY, Missouri — An East Bottoms business is kicking off the first day of Spring with coffee and kittens.

According to the website ExploreKansasCity.com, Urban Provisions, 2616 Guinotte Ave., is ringing in the new season with this year’s first Third Friday Pop-up Market. The market is open from 5 – 9 p.m. Friday, March 20, in the East Bottoms, near the intersection of Guinotte and Montgall Avenues.

The market will feature a Cat Café, a joint collaboration between PT’s Coffee and the KC Pet Project where individuals will be able to drink coffee and interact with cats rescued from the KC Pet Project. All cats will be available for adoption.

Also setting-up shop at the market is Bee Sweet Ice Cream, Whiskey and Bone and Springfield’s Culture Flock Clothing. The pop-up market is an effort to promote American-made goods in Kansas City.
