It’s Earth Day weekend and volunteers from all over the city are partnering with the city’s Parks Department and the Parks Departmsnt Ambassadors to bring you the Great Kansas City Clean Up 2023.

Clean ups in Northeast include this huge effort this morning along Cliff Drive east of Gate 4 (Elmwood) Led by Indian Mound residents Amanda Wilson and Jimmy Fitzner.

Roughly forty volunteers from Black & McDonald and EPR Property Management in downtown Kansas City tackled the north bluff of Kessler Park and the huge, overgrown ravine just east of the DiCapo Fountain on Cliff Drive.

Saturday morning clean up efforts will focus on the Concourse Park / Colonnade area of the Scarritt Renaissance neighborhood. Honeysuckle clearing will be the focus in the Pendleton Heights neighborhood near Gate 2 of Cliff Drive. Also on the calendar up list is the Independence Plaza neighborhood with a dumpster near 10th and Bellefontaine in Harmony Park. All of the above noted events are Saturday morning.
