This crafty data crunching news pooch was reviewing the Missouri Department of Secondary and Elementary Education stats for this year and had the startling revelation that sending a child to a KCMSD schools would actually be an upgrade in the quality of education. Some charter schools in the urban core didn’t make one benchmark toward accreditation. Historic Northeast’s own Scuola Vita Nuova actually busted the charts achieving five of six benchmarks toward accreditation, blowing other charters like Don Bosco and Della Lamb out of the water from a scoring standpoint. (Neither of the latter achieved any benchmarks according to the state). So before you pack up the moving van and pay the deposit on that Independence or Parkville rental house, maybe a second look at the good ol’ KCMSD might be in order.
