Effective Monday, October 16, the Social Security Administration (SSA) office located at 2021 Independence Ave. has closed and all services have been relocated to a new address in Northeast. The new location is 1800 E. Truman Rd., at the intersection of Woodland Ave. Services offered and hours of operation will remain the same at the new location.

The previous building, built especially for SSA operations, had been for sale for over a year.

For more information about SSA services call 800-772-1213 or visit www.socialsecurity.gov.
