The Kansas City Area Transportation Authority (KCATA) is considering revising its Share-A-Fare eligibility process and is hosting several public meetings to garner community feedback.

Share-A-Fare is a transportation program that provides “specialized origin to destination service” for individuals whose disability prevents them from independently using fixed-route bus service. The service provides complementary paratransit trips as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) throughout The Metro bus service area, as well as some other transportation services for eligible persons in Kansas City, Mo.

Below is a list of upcoming public meetings:

  • Wednesday, Jan. 15, 1–2:30 p.m., Kansas City Public Library, Waldo Branch, 201 E. 75th  St., Kansas City, Mo.
  • Saturday, Jan. 18, 10-11:30 a.m., KCATA, Breen Building, 1200 E. 18th St., Kansas City, Mo.
  • Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1-2:30 p.m., Barry Road Medical Center, 5830 NW Barry Rd., Kansas City, Mo.
  • Thursday, Jan. 23, 1-2:30 p.m., Midtown KCK MetroCenter, 47th & State, Kansas City, Kan.
  • Monday, Jan. 27, 1-2:30 p.m., Kansas City Public Library, Trails West Branch, 11401 E. 23rd St. South, Independence, Mo.
