Northeast Kansas City Chamber of Commerce is well on its way to establishing a Community Improvement District along Independence Avenue. To establish a CID, the chamber must first garner signatures of approval from 51 percent of the property owners along the Avenue. The chamber hosted several signing parties on June 9 and 11.
