This Christmas Day, some dedicated volunteers are making sure senior citizens who don’t have family in the area aren’t forgotten on Christmas, sponsored by a retired Kansas City, Missouri Police Detective Richard White.

For the past 47 years, White and a crew of volunteers have provided transportation, a hot meal, and some holiday fellowship to seniors with no other family.

This year dinner will be served at three locations between noon and 2pm on Christmas Day:Solid Rock Bible Church on Parvin Road north of the river, St. Peter’s School at 6400 Charlotte and Christ Methodist Church on 39th street in Independence, MO.

Deadline for signing up is December 17th. If you know a senior citizen with no family or you’d like to sign up yourself, call 816-647-1188 or email kcseniorcitizendinner@gmail.com.
