Sara DiMaggio Jackson, 70, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, at Oregon, Mo., Care Center.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 3, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5106 St. John Ave., Kansas City, Mo. Burial will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Church prior to Mass. Arrangements are by Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, Kansas City, Mo.

Sara was born May 29,1940. She grew up in the Northeast area of Kansas City and was a 1957 graduate of Glennon High School. She enjoyed her crafts and had a strong faith in God.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Jackson; and her parents, Ross and Virginia (Cropis) DiMaggio.

She is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil and Gloria DiMaggio, Sam and Patty DiMaggio, Anthony DiMaggio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose Marie and Rick Rau, Jeanne and Dave Nistendirk, Kathy and Frank Fuqua; and aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
